The Turner-prize-winning artist Wolfgang Tillmans, born in Germany, but a longtime resident of both London and Berlin, has been passionate about British culture since his teens. He is also a passionate supporter of Britain staying in the EU. In April, he launched his own campaign to support the pro-European vote in the EU referendum, aimed particularly at young people who could lose their vote by not registering before June 7. To back up his message he designed a series of posters, offering them for free to download on his website and share on social media.

As a new exhibition of his work opens at Maureen Paley in London, here is a selection of some of the posters:
