Loomis Sayles has promoted Kevin Charleston to chief executive from his previous role as president of the $240bn Boston-based fixed income manager. Mr Charleston succeeds Robert Blanding who will retain the role of chairman.

Mitsubishi UFJ Fund Services, the asset administration arm of Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group, has appointed Ken McCarney as chief executive.

He replaces Glenn Henderson who is retiring but will remain as an adviser. Mr McCarney will also continue his current role as chief operating officer.

Shawn Lytle, the former head of Americas at UBS Global Asset Management, is to become president of Delaware Investments, the $185bn manager’s multi-boutique that is part of Macquarie Group. He succeeds Patrick Coyne who is retiring in September. Blake Moore is to take Mr Lytle’s place at UBS GAM as head of Americas.

QIC, the £37.3bn Australian institutional investment manager, has appointed Giles Tucker to lead its UK and European infrastructure operations from London, and Geoff Chatas to head its infrastructure business in North America from New York. Mr Tucker joins from Royal Bank of Canada in London while Mr Chatas previously served as chief financial officer of the Ohio State University.

Schroders has appointed Dan McFetrich as a sector specialist in the global and international equities team at the £300bn asset manager. Mr McFetrich joins in April from Fidelity Worldwide Investment.

The $3.5bn Dallas Police and Fire Pension System has appointed Kelly Gottschalk as the DPFP’s new executive director. Ms Gottschalk, who previously served as deputy city manager for Tucson, succeeds Donald Rohan, the interim administrator.

PME, the €40bn pension fund for the Dutch metals and electrical engineering industries, has appointed Eric Uijen as chief executive, succeeding Hans van der Windt who is retiring.

Mr Uijen is currently the director of SNPF, the Dutch notaries’ pensions scheme.

Amundi, the €850bn Paris-based asset manager, has hired two senior fixed income portfolio managers.

Myles Bradshaw joins as head of global aggregate strategies from Pimco while David Ric takes on the role of head of absolute return strategies after moving from BlackRock.

Navik Patel has also joined as head of directional strategies at Amundi Alternative Investments, the $10bn hedge fund boutique. He joins from Aberdeen Asset Management.

Mary-Anne McIntyre is joining Old Mutual Wealth, the £100bn asset management arm of Old Mutual, as chief distribution officer. Ms McIntyre was previously chief executive of Openwork, the UK financial advice network.

JO Hambro Capital Management, the £16.2bn investment boutique, has recruited Luis Faňanas from T Rowe Price ahead of the launch later this month of a European Concentrated Value fund.

Two hires for Julius Baer as the Swiss private bank expands its presence in the UK’s northwest region. Jonathan Holland and Robert Websdale have joined as relationship managers from Barclays.
