Shares in JD Sports are up 5 per cent to yet another record high after the sports retailer reported a big jump in profits, in part because sportswear is, well, fashionable.

De La Rue is up by 6 per cent to the highest since September 2014 after the money and passport specialist also said it was on track to beat expectations.

And recruiter Robert Walters is up by 4 per cent after it reported signs of a pick-up in City hiring.
