CAROLYN FAIRBAIRN: These guidelines, I think, have a lot going for them, in that they are-- they're actually workplace by workplace. There's eight different kinds of workplace, from outdoors to factories to office, which I think is sensible. They're quite detailed. But they're also actually-- they allow for a lot of flexibility. We've been arguing for flexibility within a framework, rather than highly prescriptive, because if you do look at supermarkets, the innovation that we have seen to make businesses what's now known as COVID-secure has been really strong. So I think they're pretty good.
There are interdependencies with things like important enablers, like public transport, the availability of PPE, schools closures, that have not been worked through yet. The interconnectedness is not just supply chains within business, it's to the rest of the economy. So there are gaps. But I do think it's a good step forward.
