Matthew Garrahan

News editor

Matthew Garrahan is news editor for the Financial Times. 

He has worked for the FT since 1998, joining the newspaper as a companies reporter. Since then he has covered sports business and leisure industries and in 2006 moved to Los Angeles, where he reported on the California economy, Hollywood and digital media. He was appointed global media editor in 2014 when he moved to New York and in 2017 returned to London.
